The organisation Fife Chamber of Commerce is Fife’s biggest and fastest growing business membership organisation, providing events, services and political representation to businesses across Fife and we are looking for someone to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The job The responsibilities of the role are varied but the main ones are: dealing with incoming telephone calls and acting as first point of contact for visitors to the Chamber’s office or external events; managing meeting room bookings and providing diary management support to the Chief Executive and other members of the team; providing administration for Chamber events, including liaising and negotiating with the venues and catering suppliers; working with the Chief Executive to produce and distribute Eshots to promote the Chamber event programme; processing membership paperwork and maintaining the accuracy of the membership database and CRM system. The person The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience in an administrative role. Beyond that, he/she will be confident and able to thrive in a busy and demanding role, where multitasking and organising a large workload is the norm and maintaining standards when working under pressure is expected. He/she will be a team player who can take direction easily while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. The post is principally based in the Chamber’s office in Kirkcaldy but attendance at meetings and events elsewhere will be required.
