Fife has been crowned the ‘Most Enterprising Place in Britain’ by the UK Government.

The recognition has come in the Enterprising Britain Awards, which celebrate the work of public sector and government-backed organisations that encourage entrepreneurialism across the country.
 
As well as scooping the overall title, Fife has also been named winner in the ‘Promoting Entrepreneurial Spirit’ category, marking exceptional economic successes within mid-Fife in particular.

Round 4 of LaunchMe is open for applications!

LaunchMe, Scotland's only accelerator programme for social enterprise start-ups, is open for applications until noon on Monday 5 November 2018.
 
They have recently opened their fourth round of applications and with it have come some exciting changes. Most notably the eligibility has widened and they are now able to support not only early-stage social enterprises but also existing organisations developing a new product or service with high-growth potential.

A group of seven new Chartered Accountancy trainees have taken up posts with leading Scottish tax and business advisory specialists, EQ Accountants LLP.
