The postholder will provide a range of services to support businesses, developer and organisations interested in Investing in Fife; they will help promote Fife as a location for investment and assist with the management of major investment projects.   The postholder will be required to engage in a wide range of business development and support initiatives on a Fife wide basis and to contribute to the overall objectives of the Economic Development Team. The job pack for this vacancy is attached at the bottom of the page. The main Terms and Conditions and employment are available via the same link. Responsibilities •Act as first point of contact for interested companies and develop relationship management protocols in accordance with consistent customer engagement.•Deliver advice and support to businesses, specific to capacity building to improve products or services to increase efficiency and/or productivity.•Support the Service Manager and Lead Officer in the delivery of actions from the Fife Economy Innovation Group, building industry awareness.•Work with Lead Officer to produce operational project delivery plans, work to agreed schedule including detailed preparation of individual event plans, as required.•Work with higher education colleagues to stimulate knowledge transfer and open innovation between businesses and academic experts.•Work closely with Business Gateway Fife and Scottish Enterprise Advisory teams to pipeline client referrals for 1-2-1 business implementation. The Individual •A Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience (e.g.  Economics , Business Administration, etc)•Full membership of related professional body•Moderate experience in relevant economic/ business development; research or marketing in the public or private sector.•Experience of dealing with private sector businesses, consultants and members of the public•Good negotiating skills•Ability to work in a disciplined manner•Ability to meet agreed deadlines•Highly developed written and oral communication•Ability to work as part of a team or individually•Good working knowledge of related current legislation, government guidance and practices•Event organisation and management•Ability to undertake research and analysis of economic data•Computer literate•Ability to co-ordinate multi-disciplinary project implementation teams•Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and respond positively when under pressure For further information please click here or  contact: George Sneddon on 03451 55 55 55 ext 492181 or email: george-y.sneddon@fife.gov.uk
