CRUISEFORTH BUSINESS SEMINAR 2014

Monday 1 December 2014

FRIDAY 24TH OCTOBER- 9.30AM -1PM

HOPETOUN HOUSE

Since 2011, a project has been in existence which increases engagement between visitor businesses in east central Scotland and the 70-80 cruise ships which arrive each year on the River Forth. Now known as CruiseForth, with an increasingly popular website of the same name, the project has two strands - teams of welcome volunteers who greet each ship at Leith, Rosyth and Queensferry - and business development, connecting visitor businesses with cruise ships and the excursion companies which serve them.

The 3rd Annual Business Seminar is an opportunity for visitor businesses and attractions, to be kept up to date with the developing project, the pattern of ships booking in 2015, and the possible marketing opportunities. More importantly it allows businesses to raise awareness of their individual offer directly with the excursion companies, who may market them to the ship for sale on board.

Previous seminars have led to individual businesses having their product marketed as an excursion on board, and in some cases business being invited on board ships in the Forth and at Greenock.

This year’s Business Seminar is being held on Friday 24th October at Hopetoun House, Queensferry.  If you would like to attend or wish further information, please register with Peter Wilson at info@cruiseforth.com before Friday 26th September. More information will be provided to those who register.
