Business people invited to hear experts in new season of St Andrews Business Club events

Friday 6 January 2017

Local business people are being invited to hear experts on leadership, content marketing and employment law as well as enjoy free networking in the new season of events announced by St Andrews Business Club.

In the first free evening talk of the term, to be held at the New St Andrews Golf Club on February 8, award-winning Fife content marketing expert Chris Marr will share insights on using this exciting tool to promote your business.

Chris Marr is the founder and driving force behind the Content Marketing Academy - the UK’s largest membership organisation of its type – and the leading voice of the growing content marketing movement in the UK. His pioneering work has helped countless organisations grow through content marketing.

The club’s breakfast meetings for members and their guests, which also include networking, begin on January 18 with Bonnie Hacking of the University of St Andrews. The university’s Enterprise Adviser and teacher in the School of Management, who’s been involved in setting up enterprises all over the world, will talk about the importance of leadership in organisations.

On February 15, Noele McClelland, Employment Law Partner at Thorntons, will speak on developments in employment law SMEs need to be aware of - holiday pay, National Living Wage, changes to termination payments and a whole lot more!

Each of the breakfast meetings will now start at 7.30am with 30 minutes networking before breakfast is taken and the speaker starts. Non-members wanting to attend any of the breakfast talks can email the club on standrewsbusinessclub@gmail.com.

Full details of all the talks and how to join are available on the club’s website at http://businessclub.standrews.co.uk/.
