Bowhouse Launches Online Market

Wednesday 22 April 2020

Faced with the cancellation of its regular food makers’ markets, Bowhouse, renowned as a place where food makers work to make their products from the wonderful raw ingredients of the East Neuk of Fife and its coast, has created an online market. The launch of Bowhouse Link has been well received by East Neuk residents, with order capacity being reached during its trial stage. The online shopping platform offers a selection of fresh, seasonal local produce from Bowhouse’s traders, including The Butchery at Bowhouse, East Neuk Market Garden, StAndrews Farmhouse Cheese, Scotland the Bread and East Neuk Produce.  More traders will be added to Bowhouse Link as the initiative develops. Founder of Bowhouse, Toby Anstruther said: “Bowhouse Link is our online Bowhouse marketplace where shoppers will find all their favourite and trusted Bowhouse traders. “Our series of trials has been successful, with clients from the East Neuk of Fife embracing the offering. We hope to continue Bowhouse Link post-lockdown, as it’s something we’ve been working on for a while, but lockdown enabled us to fast-track our online market offering.” During the outbreak, Bowhouse is also supporting its local NHS staff as much as possible, and is offering them free delivery.
