We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an independent Director / Trustee to join the Board of Fife Cultural Trust (FCT). Applications are particularly sought from individuals to undertake the role of a Director of the Board with the following backgrounds:

 Tourism
 Catering
 Project Development
 Legal

FCT is a young organisation, having been formed on 1st October 2012. The vacancy provides the unique opportunity to help shape the future of FCT at an early stage. The Board is responsible for delivering FCT’s services in accordance with its strategy. The Executive Board is made up of 4 elected members from within Fife Council, and the remainder being independent directors, plus the CEO Heather Stuart of FCT. In addition to its governing and leadership role the Board has responsibility for the sound management of the organisation, for compliance with the legal and regulatory framework within which FCT operates, and for publicly
accounting for the FCT’s performance. The members of Board share collective responsibility for effective delivery of the services, strategy and obligations of FCT.

PURPOSE: To provide creative, entertaining and learning experiences that enhance the quality of life through our partnerships and in our museums, galleries, libraries and Theatres.

Please note that this is a voluntary position; however, reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
