The owners of award-winning landscape gardening business Landscape Brothers, who celebrated their tenth anniversary in 2018, have praised Business Gateway Fife for their long-term support. The Kirkcaldy-based business, which was set up in 2008 by brothers Arthur and Simon Krolczyk, was initially called Arthur and Simon Garden Maintenance. In the past decade, it has evolved from a small start-up to an established business that provides complex services from conceptual design through to landscape construction and aftercare programmes. The businesses has grown to ten employees, including younger brother Matt who joined in 2011, and works with many specialised subcontractors. After moving from Poland, the brothers approached Business Gateway Fife to help them become familiar with the process of setting up a business in Scotland and learn more about different funding opportunities that were available to them. In addition to one-to-one business support from a business adviser, Business Gateway introduced the Landscape Gardeners to the Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust (PSYBT) scheme, securing a £4,000 business development loan.
