Interested in hosting a partially funded intern from St Andrews this summer?
The University of St Andrews is currently working with the Santander Universities SME Internship Programme to create internships and work placements within SMEs for promising students. These programs allow deserving students to gain work experience and learn valuable skills, while giving smaller businesses the chance to work with recent graduates and current students, offsetting their costs in the meantime.

Wednesday 7th October saw the launch of a brand new website, new logo and a new conference room at the Vine Conference Centre in Dunfermline.
Over 45 local business owners attended the official opening of the Pentland Room, which saw Janet Torley from the Federation of Small Business cut the ribbon to open the room, with manager of the Vine Conference Centre, Tim Thomson, also in attendance.
Following the opening the attendees were treated to a talk on 'Making Excellence a National Characteristic of Scotland' from the new CEO of Quality Scotland, Claire Ford.

Employability boost for young people in Fife, the over 25s and those facing redundancy as training provider offers work placements at The Open
Young people in Fife, as well as those who are over 25 and out of work, are being given the chance to boost their skills and secure employment in the hospitality industry by taking up a new, 10-week training programme, which includes a work placement at The Open.

The 19th March was a landmark day for Business Gateway Fife client, St Andrews Management Centre Ltd (STAMC) with the official launch of the company at the St Andrews Links Trust Morris Building. Invited guests from local businesses and academic organisations joined with the STAMC team to celebrate two milestone achievements: the company successfully achieving Approved Centre status with both the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and the Scottish Qualifications Authority.
