Local Fife companies looking to recruit and support young people over the next year, are being offered the opportunity to attend the Modern Apprenticeship & Job Fairs running in February 2016.
The fairs follow on the back of the immense success of last year’s Fair, organised by Skills Development Scotland, in partnership with Opportunities Fife and Fife Council Economic Development.

Interested in hosting a partially funded intern from St Andrews this summer?
The University of St Andrews is currently working with the Santander Universities SME Internship Programme to create internships and work placements within SMEs for promising students. These programs allow deserving students to gain work experience and learn valuable skills, while giving smaller businesses the chance to work with recent graduates and current students, offsetting their costs in the meantime.

The Fife Taskforce has supported 288 of the 446 Tullis Russell workers into re-employment, helping the entire redundant workforce with a package of education and training.
The Fife Taskforce - which held its 6th meeting earlier this month – is supporting workers across the Fife economy, including Tullis Russell. To date, it has achieved positive outcomes for the 308 workers of a total 560 workers in Fife involved in the process.
These figures come during Fife Business Week, which runs from November 9 to 13.
