Innovation Support Surgeries - For Businesses

Business Gateway Fife has teamed up with Interface to offer free and confidential one-to-one Innovation Clinics in Fife, giving you an opportunity to discuss your business ideas and challenges. Shelley Breckenridge, Business Engagement Manager at Interface, is looking to help businesses diversify, carry out research, access student groups and develop new products, processes or services by connecting them with Scottish universities and research institutes. Shelley holds fortnightly clinics in the Enterprise Hub in Glenrothes where you can meet up to discuss your current requirements and get advice on how Interface can help. She can also advise on funding options as Interface administer Scottish Funding Council Innovation Vouchers of up to £5k, which can be applicable for some of the projects that come forward after these discussions.   For more information visit www.interface-online.org.uk

Legal Surgeries – Business and Property Related

If you have a business or property related query and need legal advice, Business Gateway Fife offers free monthly sessions with a legal expert, in conjunction with Blackadders.  Example areas of advice include: choosing the right business structure, partnership/director agreements, buying or selling your business, exit strategies, leasing commercial property, lease disputes and buying/selling commercial property.

Supply Chain Process Improvement Surgeries 

Increasingly medium - large organisations are tendering for products and services. The private sector requirements for tendering can be very different, both legally and commercially from public sector procurement exercises.

SDP Procurement Surgeries

To support local suppliers in Angus, Dundee City, Fife and Perth & Kinross Councils, Procurement Surgeries are hosted by each local authority on a rotating basis.  Local suppliers are invited to attend clinic appointments lasting 20 minutes, available from 9:00am to 1:00pm by prior appointment only.  The appointments shall be conducted via Webex, hosted by the Supplier Development Programme. Procurement Surgery AimsProcurement Surgeries will:• Signpost and prepare businesses to local support, aiming to increase their confidence when tendering with the public sector;• Assist suppliers in gaining knowledge of local supply chain opportunities across Fife and Tayside;• Help the Councils build relationships with suppliers and break down barriers to bidding;• Raise awareness of the opportunities within public sector procurement, such as Regulated Procurement Pipelines; and• Support suppliers in becoming "tender ready" with the Supplier Development Programme to better understand and respond to the “ask” from local authorities in procurement. Bookings for Procurement Surgeries must be booked in advance by SMEs by logging into the SDP website and answering the required questions that are part of the booking process. Hosted By
