Grow Your Business This Summer



Business Gateway has launched a series of specialist workshops designed to help businesses in Fife grow and develop – even in these challenging economic times.

Accessing the correct advice is key to the success of any business and the free workshop programme has been devised to complement Business Gateway’s comprehensive support network, ensuring businesses throughout the region get the help they need.

Utilising the expertise of the local Business Gateway team, the summer workshop programme will focus on topics which are important to growing businesses.

Taking place in Kingdom House, Glenrothes, the free programme of events runs throughout June and July and includes:

• Employing Staff for the First Time – June 12th – If you are looking to employ staff for the first time, this workshop takes you from writing a job specification, interviews, selection processes including references, disclosures and medicals through to the induction and employment contracts for your new employee.  There is also information on the current jobs market and any legal issues you should be aware of,

 • Marketing Your Business – July 3rd – Identify the market, customers, costs, pricing of your product or service and create a realistic marketing plan designed to improve your marketing and sales,

 • Advertising and Promotion – July 3rd – This course will give you the knowledge and skills you need to produce an advertising plan for your business. All events run from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
