Meadowsweet Organics joins Fife Farmers Markets

A brand new Fife business is bringing a range of locally grown organic herbs, cut flowers and fresh salads to Fife Farmers Market.

Meadowsweet Organics was started in February 2015 by Rosy McLean and David Demjanovic on Falkland Estate with the aim of producing top quality organic produce for both culinary and medicinal use, whilst at the same time developing a beautiful, fertile and diverse natural environment.  Rosy is training as an herbalist and will develop a range of herbal products in the future.

New Funding Announced For 2016 Themed Year

£200,000 event fund launched to celebrate Scotland's 2016 Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design.

A brand new £200,000 events fund created to develop activity to celebrate Scotland's achievements in innovation, architecture and design has been launched by EventScotland, part of VisitScotland's Events Directorate. Applications opened on Wednesday 10 June, 2015 for the events and festivals sector across Scotland to apply for a 2016 Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design event grant up to £20,000.

HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has produced a set of online seminars – ‘webinars’ – both live and pre-recorded, to help customers to understand a variety of tax systems and learn what obligations they need to meet.

Webinars are free online presentations that enable you to attend a seminar anytime, anyplace. HMRC offers a wide variety of live and pre-recorded webinars on subjects such as business expenses for the self-employed, operating PAYE in real time, statutory sick pay, VAT awareness and many more. Customer feedback tells us that these are a great way to get started.

Queensway Park Gets Green Light for Data Centre in Fife

Detailed consent has been granted for the country’s largest green data centre in Fife Scotland.

Plans are now in place for the first of two cloud hosting facilities at Queensway Park in Glenrothes. The first green data centre will cover an area of over 90,000 sq ft and is hoped to be complete towards the end of 2016. Once completed, Queensway Park will be the largest data centre campus in Scotland with a development value approaching £100 million.
