The Pitreavie Group has developed its business over the past seven years to become the largest independent packaging solutions and industrial supplies company in Scotland. 

Its expansion is a result of strong organic growth and targeted acquisitions, including Andersons Packaging and Sorba-Freeze. Its most recent acquisition of SNAPCO, a Glasgow-based Industrial Supplies business, has boosted turnover to almost £10 million.

Greenfold Systems Ltd. is expanding having recently opened two new facilities in England. Its premises in Scarborough opened last year and employs 53 people, which along with its new assembly unit just opened in Kent, adds to the 85-strong workforce, which Greenfold employs in Dunfermline. 

Turnover is up to around £5 million this financial year for the contract manufacturer.

Professor Sally Mapstone, Principal of the University of St Andrews, heads the list of speakers for a 2017-18 season full of changes being announced by St Andrews Business Club.
