Tycoon Teens, Inspiring Fife!!!

Monday 1 December 2014

Ever had an idea, a moment of inspiration, and not known how to take it further?  Well “Tycoon Teens, Inspiring Fife” is for you.

“Tycoon Teens, Inspiring Fife” is an enterprising challenge for young people from across Fife secondary schools in S5/S6.  It’s a unique initiative seeking ideas from senior phase pupils for a new service or product with the aim to seek support from entrepreneurs to evolve your idea and skills needed, to create a real prospect for the future.

Your submission will be taken forward to a panel of entrepreneurs, who will be looking for innovative ideas, an understanding of an opportunity and motivation to develop.  You don’t have to have all the answers or a fully thought out concept, that’s where our entrepreneurs come in.  They will provide mentoring, coaching and a commitment to find the right people with the right connections to support the development of you and your idea moving forward.

If you’d like support to develop your enterprise skills and your idea, all you have to do is give a brief outline of your idea by completing the Submission Form – click here to download.  This will be used by the panel to shortlist submissions.  Finalists will be invited to pitch their idea in person to a “dragons den” event being held on the early evening of Thursday 29th January 2015 – to which you will be given the opportunity to bring along your teacher and/or parents and family members to support you.

“Tycoon Teens, Inspiring Fife” is supported by the Fife Economy Partnership, a business-led group which brings together people from the private, public and voluntary sectors to help achieve sustainable economic development in Fife, and supported by the Entrepreneurial Exchange, Scotland's leading members' organisation for ambitious, growth-orientated entrepreneurs.

Please return the completed Idea Submission Forms to: Sandra Robb, CoE Co-ordinator, Fife Council Economic Development on Sandra.robb@fife.gov.uk by Friday 19th December 2014, who will also be happy to answer any questions you may have.
