Tullis Russell Support Event - 6th May at Balbirnie House Hotel, Markinch

With the recent announcement that Tullis Russell are going into Administration, which is a major blow to the Fife economy and not least because of the significant job losses involved, with 325 employees made redundant immediately. As part of the response to this situation, Partnership Action for Continuing Employment (PACE) have been called in to work with those made redundant. PACE is the Scottish Government's initiative for responding to redundancy situations. Through providing skills development and employability support, PACE aims to minimise the time people affected by redundancy are out of work.

A PACE Redundancy Support Event has been arranged at which help and advice will be offered to those affected and employers who are recruiting for staff are being invited - either to attend or to provide details to PACE. The event is being held on Wednesday the 6th of May from 10am to 3pm in the Balbirnie House Hotel in Markinch. If you currently have vacancies and are interested in attending or passing details on to PACE, please contact Calum MacLean, Employer Services Manager, Skills Development Scotland at calum.maclean@sds.co.uk
