£5,000 Funding for Businesses Recruitng Apprentices

The Scottish Government have announced funding of £5,000 if employers recruit an apprentice or up skill existing employees onto a Modern Apprenticeship if they are under the age of 25.
There is an employer incentive of £3,500 to upskill employees onto a Modern Apprenticeship if they are 25 years old and over.
For existing employees, the grant can be used if employees are in a new job role in the last four months and the apprenticeship programme is a means of developing skills, knowledge and competence.
There is a maximum of 10 grants per business and availability is limited. SDS will process applications on a first come first serve basis.

Upskill-
All age groups-
ICT ,Digital Marketing (employer contribution fee is applicable for 25 years +)
16-24 (an employer contribution fee is applicable for candidates over the age of 19 for some of these apprenticeships)
Business and Administration, Management, Digital Marketing, Digital Applications, I.T Diploma, Providing Financial Services , Freight Logistics.
25+ Priority Sectors Only –Management (an employer contribution fee is applicable)
Construction, Engineering, Finance, Transport and Logistics, Energy, Public Sector, Automotive, Creative, Food and Drink
