Opportunity for Fife Businesses to “Meet the Funder”
Tuesday 2 September 2014
Event brings businesses to meet banks and other funders
Fife businesses will have a chance to get information on finance from banks and other funders at a business breakfast entitled “Meet the Funder” in Glenrothes later this month.
Representatives from the Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander Bank, Barclays Bank, Bank of Scotland, Theseus Ventures Ltd, Princes Trust Youth Business Scotland, The Charity Bank, Clydesdale Bank, East of Scotland Investment Fund, Business Gateway Fife and Fife Chamber of Commerce will be amongst the exhibitors at the event. They will be ready to take questions on all types of funding and offer tailored advice to businesses whatever stage they are at.
There will also be a short rolling programme of presentations on topical issues from investment to protecting your business.
Finance remains a critical issue for businesses of all sizes and knowing who to approach and how to put forward the best application for funding can make the difference between securing funding or not. Local businesses report that access to finance is used to ease cash flow but also to boost investment in expansion, workforce development and on-going recruitment.
“Meet the Funder” will be hosted by Fife Council as part of the work Economic Development undertakes to support businesses, whatever stage of development they are in. The business breakfast will take place in the TREE (Tullis Russell Environmental Education) Centre from 8am to 11am on Wednesday 24th September.
