A new estate agency has launched in Kirkcaldy’s John Smith Business Park, with support from Business Gateway Fife. Home Sweet Home Estate Agents Fife is the second branch of Home Sweet Home Estate Agents in Scotland, and will be run by local estate agent, Scott Galloway, with the aim of ‘instilling old school family values and growing it as a family business.’
Home Sweet Home first contacted Business Gateway Fife earlier this year and has capitalised on several of its free business support resources including Zoom webinars on tax, Digital Boost and marketing. Scott commented:
“Business Gateway Fife has been amazing since my first contact with adviser, Karen Cassells. She has been a valuable sounding board and support, advising on a range of workshops, which due to the current environment, have taken place via Zoom.”
Home Sweet Home’s approach to home sales is to offer a personal service, whilst maximising all digital platforms, to ensure a bespoke experience for every client. The plan for later this year is to establish a letting service and recruit additional staff, whilst possibly taking on a Modern Apprentice.
Scott was asked what success in the first year of business would look like. He replied:
“It’s always hard to say, but creating a sustainable business where growth is not measured purely on income, but the provision of excellence in customer service and being the agent of choice. Taking a share of the local marketplace and providing a platform to build for the future, is important too.”
Business Gateway Fife adviser, Karen Cassells said: “Scott has a wealth of experience in the industry and hislocal knowledge and many contacts will stand him in good stead for future success in his new venture.”
