Meet the Buyer is back for Fife Business Week 2021!

Thursday 21 October 2021

Don't miss Fife Business Week’s flagship online event, Meet the Buyer, taking place on Thursday, 4th November from 9.00am until 2.00 pm.   This year’s Meet the Buyer aims to help local businesses find out what contract opportunities are available as part of the Dunfermline Learning Campus (DLC) (£200m project) and the Levenmouth Railway Link project delivery (£70m project). Suppliers will explore how to do business with Hub East Central Scotland, Fife College, BAM, Balfour Beatty, Network Rail and their framework of suppliers and Fife Council Procurement. Suppliers will also hear about upcoming opportunities and find out any requirements needed to be eligible to bid on a contract, as well as understanding what Community Benefits will be delivered as part of the projects. This prestigious event is being hosted by Fife Council Economic Development, in partnership with Hub East Central Scotland, Fife College, BAM, Balfour Beatty, Network Rail and the Supplier Development Programme. Councillor Altany Craik, Convenor for Fife Council’s Economy, Tourism, Strategic Planning and Transportation Committee commented: “Meet the Buyer is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to be a part of two of the biggest development programmes in Fife in many years.  As always, Meet the Buyer offers businesses access to the major developers, supplier framework and Fife Council procurement.”  He added: “Businesses will also learn about top tendering tips and gain insight into the support that is available to become “tender ready” for these future opportunities through the Supplier Development Programme.  I would urge all businesses involved in the supply chain, large and small, to participate.” Business can register FREE at https://www.sdpscotland.co.uk/events-fife2021-mtb/ Fife Business Week 2021 features more than 20 exciting events featuring a wide range of topics from Finance, HR, Digital Skills to Industry Expert advice delivered by experts in both the private and public sectors. The full calendar of events to mark the twelfth Fife Business Week is now available to view at www.fifebusinessweek.co.uk. Hosted by Fife Council’s Economic Development Team and Business Gateway team under the InvestFife brand, Fife Business Week is designed to support businesses to succeed and flourish whilst making Fife the best place to do business. For more information on Fife Business Week please email craig.rutherford@bgfife.co.uk or visit www.fifebusinessweek.co.uk
