Live at the Hub, for Fife Business Week’s Website

Monday 8 October 2018

ENTERPRISE Hub Fife in Glenrothes was the location this week for Fife Business Week’s revamped website going live. Laura Taylor, Managing Director of Empowered by Cloud, one of the Hub’s tenants, checked out the variety of events on offer. Fife Business Week is set to run this year from 5th to 9th November. In a week that is packed full of events aimed at inspiring and transforming Fife’s business community, it will also provide opportunities for Fife’s businesses to come together to network and exchange ideas. Now in its ninth year, Fife’s main business week offers a broad range of seminars and workshops, covering important issues for the local economy and is once again set to be a major highlight of the Kingdom’s business calendar.  Workshops range from harnessing energy, e-learning success and making tax digital. The week of action will focus on key issues that are impacting Fife entrepreneurs, business start-ups and employers with fresh insights into workforce development, advanced manufacturing, finance and strategy and digital connectivity. Laura moved into Enterprise Hub Fife in February of this year.  She needed office space to bring clients to and the Hub fitted the bill.  She commented: “I have a modern, non- traditional accountancy business, so I need offices portraying the right image. The Hub does that for me. I also have access to an onsite business adviser so can access support when needed.”   Laura spent five years working in accountancy practices in Edinburgh before setting up her own business.  She added:  “Fife Business Week has something to offer all types of business. I’ll certainly be checking out some of the events in November.” Pamela Stevenson, Lead Officer for Economic Development & Enterprise, Fife Council said:  “Many businesses across all sectors can benefit from participation in this year’s Fife Business Week as it is a great showcase to promote local business and their success.  It offers the opportunity for every company in Fife to come along, hear from industry experts whilst making new contacts and exchanging ideas.  Events will take place across Fife to inspire companies and entrepreneurs, and the majority are free to attend.  We look forward to welcoming all businesses.” Hosted by Fife Council’s Economic Development Team and supported by Business Gateway Fife, Fife Business Week is designed to support businesses to succeed and flourish whilst making Fife the best place to do business. The full calendar of events for the ninth Fife Business Week is available at www.fifebusinessweek.co.uk  For more information on Fife Business Week please email craig.rutherford@bgfife.co.uk
