Fife Manufacturing Business Breakfast - Business Resilience in a Challenging Climate and hear from Ernst Young, UK Specialist Recovery Team for Oil and Gas Sector

Fife Council Economic Development are hosting a business breakfast workshop session for local SME manufacturing (engineering) businesses to discuss the current oil and gas position and impact on Fife.
UK Specialist Recovery Team Ernst Young, who consult with Scottish and Westminster Governments in this regard, will be in attendance to provide an overview of the oilfield services market and the specific sub-sectors they think are most at risk in the current downturn.
They will provide an overview of what areas to focus on, covering a range of issues depending on the extent of stress or distress a business is experiencing. In the main, short term survival is the most important objective facing the businesses.
Many companies are starting to look at reducing costs and to increase operational efficiencies to make them more resilient. Some are unfortunately in a critical state and looking at succession, merger/acquisition or administration solutions.
This session is to assist Economic Development put in place contingency planning and to pull together a collective package of recovery support via business support partners, SMAS/Business Gateway/Employability colleagues.
