Interview Date: Thursday 4 April 2019 Based within Fife Council’s Economic Development Team, the post holder will support the Service Manager and Lead Officer in building industry awareness regarding business innovation. The post holder will lead on employer engagement and raising awareness regarding the introduction of Industry 4.0 and its adoption and implementation by Fife businesses, jointly with Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service (SMAS) and other partner agencies. The post holder will also direct client referrals to business advisers within Business Gateway, Scottish Enterprise and SMAS for advice regarding product and process improvements. The post holder will work with higher education colleagues to stimulate knowledge transfer and open innovation between businesses and academic experts. Requirements To promote the creation of a culture of innovation within Fife’s business community. To do this, the post holder will liaise with stakeholders, key local and national partners to build industry awareness and promote the adoption and implementation by Fife businesses to increase efficiency and productivity. The post holder will also support other economic and business development initiatives undertaken by the Economic development team on a Fife wide basis as required and to contribute to the overall objectives of Fife Economy Strategy. The Individual The successful candidate will be educated to SCQF level 9, which includes a Degree or SVQ level 4 or equivalent. Full membership of related professional body such as IED, RTPI, RCIS, RIAS or CIM is required.
