How Business Gateway Helped Jean, Ellya and Tristan Get Into Gear

When Jean Hay, Ellya Gold and Tristan Dodd wanted to create a sponsorship package for the first electric rally car built by eRally Motorsport Ltd, they turned to Business Gateway Fife for advice.

The car, a fully-electric rally prepped Renault Zoe, is set to burst on to Formula 1000 (junior rallying for 14 to 17 year olds) in 2018, after being tested in the senior division this year.

Thanks to help from their adviser, the trio pulled together a sponsorship package that has already attracted a top engineering company.

The sponsorship deals, alongside backing from a leading financial services business, and support from Knockhill Race Circuit's TeenRally experience, will hekp keep eRAlly on course to launch the eRally Championship in Scotland within the next three years.

Jean said: "Although we've lots of expertise and connections in morotsport, we couldn't say the same for business so we approached Business Gateway Fife. Sponsorship is the lifeblood of any rally team and with our adviser's help we created a feasible sponsorship pricing structure. We now have a complete package - a rally ready car and sponsorship deals on offer".
