Paul Armour launched Ecobean, his ethically sourced Artisan coffee roasting company back in 2018 when he purchased and converted an old horse box and installed a small coffee roaster and espresso machine. He took the business out to customers on Kirkcaldy’s promenade, roasting coffee onsite and designing new blends and took his produce to markets and fairs. Since then, he has developed the wholesale side of the business and has opened a retail unit in St Clair Street.

Physiotherapist, Benji Gilbert, decided to leave a private practice in Perth in 2016 and set up his own clinic in Dunfermline. With a team of eight, Benji offers a variety of treatments to a wide range of clients including sports injury rehab, post-operative care, neck and back pain and treatment for Womens’ Health conditions.

After a very successful event last year, which saw a number of Fife businesses return from the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Conference 2022 with a strong level of positive enquiries, three Fife businesses have once again made the journey south this month, to take part in what is the UK’s most comprehensive annual industrial exhibition.
Fife Fabrications (Fifab), Eurospray Ltd, and Quality Precision Electronics (QPE) attended the three-day event, which takes place each year at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre.

Former Spa manager and beautician, Olga Gerogianni, with a wealth of experience in her home country of Greece, established an award-winning, online business selling her luxury soap in 2018 when she moved to Scotland with her family. She has now expanded and opened a shop at East Port in Dunfermline City Centre.

A second challenge call for Zero Emissions Heavy Duty Vehicles was completed recently from Transport Scotland and Scottish Enterprise through its Can Do Innovation Challenge framework, to support innovation around net zero transport.
This round of funding was an extension to a programme launched in 2021 and aimed to target a wider range of heavy-duty transport with successful projects including boats, gritters and offroad excavators.
