Hot-Desking and Virtual Office packages at Fife Renewables Innovation Centre

Thursday 17 July 2014

The highly acclaimed Fife Renewables Innovation Centre (FRIC) is now extending its offering  to include conference and event venue hire, hot-desking and virtual offices.

The new packages will help support even more companies looking to enter the low carbon and renewables sector and allow them to benefit from the Centre’s excellent facilities.
Barbara Whiting, Lead Officer for Renewables at Fife Council said: “The aim of the new business packages is to allow more businesses in the sector to operate within flexible schedules and increase efficiency; a virtual office at FRIC will allow your business all the benefits associated with a rental package including telephone answering, mail handling, a FRIC business address and access to state-of-the-art conference and meeting room facilities.”

“FRIC is a central hub for activities in the East Coast of Scotland and there are an increasing number of events being held at the centre including information days, seminars, workshops and school events. East Coast Renewables, Energy Savings Trust and Scottish Renewables are all examples of agencies and businesses that make regular use of FRIC as a conference venue “

Councillor Lesley Laird, Depute council leader and spokesperson for Business and Planning added: “FRIC has seen great success since its opening in 2012 and has already surpassed its original occupancy targets, attracting leading industry players like Samsung Heavy Industries, who chose it as a base for its first UK offshore wind project. The Centre provides opportunities for new and growing businesses to locate as well as access to in-house support and shared innovation space. It will continue to play a prominent role in supporting Fife and Scotland’s East Coast Energy Industry.”

FRIC is also home to leading companies in the renewables sector, Reach Engineering and Diving Services, Hydrosphere UK Ltd, Narvida and Energy Project Management.
