HEALTH AND WELLBEING ROADSHOW FOR EMPLOYERS

The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) in Scotland has been working closely with the Scottish government and the Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives (SCHWL) on a series of informative road shows, the aim of which is to promote ”Health and Wellbeing” in the workplace and support employers with Occupational Health issues. The event for the East of Scotland Region will take place on the 28th May 2015 at the Roxburghe Hotel Edinburgh commencing at 6pm.

The Event will consist of the following Presentations:

Two presentations given by, SCHWL, and Scottish Government specialist advisors:

1.  The launch of the new “Fit for Work Programme”, which promotes Health at work and the benefits brought by having such a policy in the work place. This new “Fit for Work “service provides, Free, Confidential, and Impartial Advice and Support to all Small Businesses help people return to work from extended sickness absence. The service is being delivered by the Scottish Government via the NHS Scotland

2. Changes to the Support Network for the much acclaimed “Free Confidential Advice Line” which is provided by SCHWL for employers and people of working age in Scotland, together with online advice and the free Healthy Return Toolkit.

Detailed information on how these services work and the benefits it can offer employers will be given by representatives of the Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives and the Scottish Government at the seminar. Advisers are keen to engage with Small Businesses to provide free specialist advice.
